A passion for medicinal herbs has driven Tran Thi Hien, a student at the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, to travel to mountainous and forested areas to find rare plants to treat diseases.
Hien studied biodiversity at university and immediately was enthralled with the topic. Primeval forests and medicinal plants have always piqued her interest.
Not satisfied with reading about herbal medicine, Hien carried with her the determination to discover medicinal plants during weekend journeys and summer holidays.
